this is true,Robs not looking hard enoughthere are plenty of options these days... seems everybody is making manifolds for 1.8T ..

was'nt there cracking on yours Ian?
APR haven't even officially released stage 3 or 3+ for the 1.8T after all these years in RHD form, Ianb is the only car I've heard of running an APR BT kit in the UK, even then the manifold is not an APR part. I waited years for a true bolt on BT kit to become available in RHD form ... still waiting. Star Performance have pretty much dropped the ATP kits because they are far from a true bolt on kit. APR have never been very interested in the UK. In Scotland there are zero kits out there for the 1.8T and nobody around who could make custom parts to fit something like a true GT28RS turbo.
Problem is there are no APR agents up here I'd trust with my car, Star don't deal with APR anymore. APR UK don't even list the stage 3 kit on their website.
Nope no issues whatsoever..........the issue on my car was at the time they didn't have the inconnel studs made up in time on the manifold to turbo connection.
The originals had stretched and created a blow at the joint which natuarally warped the face.
New one replaced no questions asked with new Inconnel and special gasket....no problems since.....the APR manifold has a lifetime warranty.
valves are 3-4 days to me
you have the choice of single groove collet or tripple groove collet when the time comes.
tripple groove is OE collets, single is race (and requires the keepers ~£15 extra)
Both Inconnel??
Are the race ones for big big power then....ie alot more than my application??
Are both as easy as one another to install??
What's best in your oppinion and for what reasons?
Ian

Ayup Jonah. What happened there then - I thought you'd got a m0rksport GTRS conversion?
Not true really, the GT2X is rated to 290bhp and mine made 287bhp, plenty other GT2X's have all made around 285bhp, so not far off. The FWD GTRS made 310bhp on Craig's Leon and all the Quattro GTRS's all make around the 330bhp mark. The turbos are fine, the biggest problem is the position of the FWD, it makes a big inlet very difficult. All the Elim turbos I've seen are all Garrett stamped so I don't know about that one?
The Backdraft kits look good but are for 210/225 engines only, but bolting them onto a 180 engine wouldn't take much work.
