Can anyone here help please.

I know that my PD150 should be topped up with 505.01 but apart from the Stealers is there any normal high street Shops / Garages that stock it off the shelf.

My local Halfords agreed that it should be that spec, but didn't stock it and had never heard of it. Help, as i'm now running low and can't get to a dealer for ages.

I've had a good search on here already without coming up with anything definate.

Nice one.

Went to

http://www.millersoils.net/literatureDOWNLOADS/XFE-PD.pdf

Looked up and found a stockist in Swindon where i'm working tomorrow. Just hope that she gets there without flashing up low oil. Just below minimum on dipstick at mo so fingers crossed.

Gonna buy 5 L to use as top up cause she seems to be thirsty and don't want a repeat performance again.

£23.99 for 5L.

Bargain really as this should last me 50K on amount she's drinking at the moment. The local garages / Car shops were trying to fob me off with £10.99 non approved crap for 1L, and trying to tell me that they knew better than I. :thumbd:

I got mine direct from Millers as their place is just down the road from me.

Suppliers list is on their website - Link posted a couple of threads ago.

My local autoparts store is stocking 'Castrol Edge' ......claims its specifically designed to meet the specifications of vw/audi engines that require VW505.01. Pretty steep at £35 for 5l ..... worth it?

This thread is two and a half years old. :D

I'm now paying £30 for 505.01 Millers XFE-PD.... Wondering if cheaper can be had elsewhere.

Don't skimp on engine oil m8, just not worth it! Whats £30 every year? Bugger all! and believe me Millers is a quality oil.....for the price its a bargain!

I must see about setting a discount account up for SCN's - I shall go ask this afternoon.

Well, I've found a very cheap oil which also claims to be 505.01. It's from Q8 and costs about £2 a litre. Anyone think this could really be scrimping too far. The spec on it says all the usual like 505.00, but then says "recommended for 505.01" - bit odd they got that R word in there...
