Can you enable the original poster to update the thread title that they have posted.

At present you cannot which is sometimes a pain for example:
If you make a typo then its there for all to see .
If you update a thread (say readers rides with more pics) then you could add to the title "Updated <insert date> PICS!" so people can see its updated etc.etc.

Its works really well on other forums and saves multiple threads from the same people.

Go on .. you know you want too ;)

it's not in the std vb options. however there's a massive vb update due v soon.

so i'll wait to see if it's in there - then i'll look for a mod to do it

see. this chap has obviously took his finger off the shift key far to early,and/or left his finger on the 1 key for faaaaaaaaaaar too long.It has come up before and i have been guilty of title typo's myself,if it's easy to do,it may help post the right title. If mods can do it(edit it),it may help the "help i'm about to die, i have taken the wrapper all the way off my pine tree air freshener!!!!!!"

Just as an update to this, if you make a new post, you CAN edit the title displayed .. so there must be a time limit set as to allowable changes before it is fixed.

All you need to do is find where the time limit is set :)

example post here - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=151683

Was able to add "now changed : )" and then make a new post and then still edit the title with "and again"

I guess after a while it will lock me out of making a title change, but dont know if that will be 10mins 20mins or an hour etc.etc.

Set the time limit to 0, thinking that 0 would be infinite, but have now changed it to 99999999999999999999 minutes :)
