mmmmmmmm! I tought 10000k would have been really Blue, yours look's good, Nathanio hids look good too with a slight blue light. Iam ordering some for my angel eyes at the end of the week but dont know what temp to go for??

Paul, you do know the amount of work needed to put HIDs in Angel Eyes?

If you haven't already, have a search for threads on the subject by J@mes & Uncle Fester

You need to pull the headlamps apart & modify the hole that the HID bulb goes thru to get them to fit!

Can be done, but a lot of work from what I've read!!

Yeah mate ive had a read, but also someone on here did it without taking the lamp apart (i think the lamp only got took apart so no plastic shavings got in) while making the hole bigger iam going to use a portable hoover at the same time to suck the shavings up, in theory it should work....fingers crossed!!!

Good Good - didn't want you getting the HID's delivered, and then finding out the hard way.

Hope it all goes well...get some pic's up once you're all done!!

Good luck then, to put it on OEM ligts it's a piece of cake, all I had to do is drill a hole to the plastic cover in the back and find a place to stick ballasts to... Let us know how U managed...

Thanks mate, i will get some pics once sorted, just need to decide 6000k or 8000k

Go for 6000K, I'm running 8000K at the mo, and wish I'd got 6000K.

Started off with 4300K, but wanted a bit more "blue" tint, but went too far IMO.

The 8000K just don't seem to put as much light on the road, seem to get a little lost when the road is damp / wet...still better than Halogen mind, but just compared to the 43's I had in originally nowhere near as good!

I should have listen to everyone else...they all say no more than 6000K!!

The 6000k ones do have a very slight tint of Blue dont they (simular to OE spec)??????

I believe that factory fit HIDs are mostly 4300K, but because they are mostly fitted to projector type lamps they give that blue hue as the light is refracted.

Yes, U've got it right, projector lamp dissolves light beam a bit differently, so they look bluer as they are in real, factory fitted HIDs are 4300k-5000k (some of 'em 6000k) So, if U'd like to go for 'factory fitted look' on Your OEM lamps You should be looking at 6000-8000k to have the same effect... I went for a bit more (for most of You) 'unusual temp', coz I wanted less common look and I can't tell I regret it (yet)

P.S.: But if U're up to clear bright (white-only) 4300k'll do it...

Here's a piccie with range of HIDs:

If I was to buy again I would prob consider the 4300k range as they seem to give the best light but I am hugely impressed with the 6000k.

Same here. The 6000k's are good but a little to blue for my likeing. If I was 18 again then 6000k would be ideal, but now im a little older 4300k would be better.

I dont think im a boy racer anymore;)

Have to also agree with edmong1981. I too and getting old and if I was to do it again I would go for 4300k's - the 6000k are just a bit too blue for me. Still impressed though.

As for boy racer - I kept a Golf V6 4MOTION honest up to 115 this morning until we ran out of road! Too heavy to get away me thinks.

So what's that Cupra for?! (((((:)
OK, maybe You're right about this one, for me boyracer is bloke with 'heavy modified' (=some ugly stickers) Corsa 1.1l with spoilers, undercar lights and other similar shite...
But c'mon we all do like fast cars... [B)]

After reading the comments on here, just bought this kit (one the same from same supplier): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-XENON-CON...ryZ23009QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.
I hope it fits into the angel eyes without too much problems, really don't want to take the bumper off again to remove the lights!!!

You have to take the bumper off, to take the lights out, to make the hole bigger for the hid bulbls to fit. Not as hard as i thought though! and well worth it.
