but the whole engine is knackered....sump, block, crank, head piston etc etc i dont do things by half :)

as for 80 hour week, it does kill me but like i said i gotta pay for this lump of metal

Bits of valve getting trapped between the rod and the inside of the crankcase - windage tray fitted and debris had nowhere else to go but bouncing around the crank case or making a break for freedom.

Still ran despite the damage....
 
Yes, a big box of parts from the US is heading your way.

What rods were those? Arrow?

The Mocal oil plates open up at 180 degree Fahrenheit (~82C).
