how did th damage occour on the rods? cant work that out?

or was it from the broken engine parts flying about?

Bits of valve getting trapped between the rod and the inside of the crankcase - windage tray fitted and debris had nowhere else to go but bouncing around the crank case or making a break for freedom.

Still ran despite the damage....

what temp do i want the oil thermostat at?

80degrees ok?

well presume so as normal running car is about 80-90 hooch so thats my guess what oil cooler did you get?

yes there are oil coolers that have built in stats so as not to cool it or over cook it to much
