Is your airbox smoothed and enlarged?

Looking at the logs you posted, the 'before' log has very few data points so it's hard to spot if there's any mid-range difference, but the peak figure has gone up.

Unfortunately, it's not gone up any more than other people have seen with single airfeeds.

I did wonder, once, about cutting that entire end off the airbox (below the filter line, obviously) and developing it forward to connect to an airfeed, but decided there was no point. It might be worth it if you could get your two airfeeds up to the airbox in parallel.

cheers, nice to hear some good things for a change. the most ive seen is 213 but as you probably know it varies on conditions.

Blimey thats got to be one of the highest ever for an LCR hasn't it? What other mods do you have? My highest is 202 with the stage 2 map and open cone filter!

I have a dynatwist Feel.. i do like the idea of keeping every looking standard under the bonnet so i was going to keep my airbox and smooth it. im sure either way it will work. my dynatwist is part of the furniture now. i think there is scope to get one feed up on one end of the box and one the other...

as i was logging other things too the sample rate wasnt good on the logs, i have other logs that would maybe have proved the point better but we could be here all day and it doesnt really matter..

lol i wish i had multi quoted now..

i think your right mate. with the right (plastic) parts i think you could do this much cheaper with the same results... go for it.. make sure you take some pics though :)

its worth doing it just for the sound (if you like that sort of thing). people think im running and atmospheric but its just a bogo 007..

I might have a solution :D its 5er for the scoops. i cant say where im getting them from but it look slike this

O.204.jpg

Looking back at yours Arron i might have to get a 45 degree bend one.. but for 5er.. worth a try..

Im going to get one and another CIA (which i can get dirt cheap as well ) so i might be able to knock some kits up quite cheap..

:D

Aftyer looking at urs again this might be better
alloy_tube_90.jpg

and this for the offside
alloy_tube_45.jpg

Also i can get some alli flexi air feed so this will make the sound get down the pipes better. What u think Arron on them pieces? recon it could work?

ok :D for 3 meters of Alli cold air feed (to echo the sound down) and for

£30 :D Get in!!!

There all 80 mm as well so will slot together nicely. I'm thinking about running the second air feed in to the Dynatwist caseing so its not restricted with the one pipe? Depends how i can get it to look!!!

Sounds sweet ;)
I had a play with my air feed and was happy with the results.
Fitted an 89mm pipe from the airbox and routed it down to the front fog light for more cold air.
Results are great. Better sound and throttle response and a log proves it's getting plenty of air.
(This is on my TDI BTW)

Thats a graph taken from the log.
The Blue line is the requested air (amount of air the engine wants)
The red line is the Actual (Air thats getting through to the engine)
No shortage of air ;)

looks sweet Davey, i definately think the CIA is best in that position rather than wedging a pipe around the battery to stock locations.....

Is it all ally Nick? welding ally is a bitch. how will you fix it? remember both mine are on the same fixings as the fogs with the same supports..... i hope you can get it to work for that price :)

they look ok Nick, like i said on the phone youre going to have to cut **** loads off of the 90 degree to get it to fit in..... check out the pics of my scoop in this thread again and you'll see what i mean. i think they might work though

i dont know why i didnt say before or on the phone... i dont think a 45 will work on the offside. go for a 90 but see what you think first.. how are you going to do it with side mounts?

plus youve spent too much money on your PC.... sado :)
