Revo Stage1,2,3 & Live/Custom Remap

First off let me apologise if this information already exists on the forum. I have tried searching a few times and struggle to find something explaining the difference between the above options ( in lamens terms ).

As some of you may know, im on the verge of purchasing a LCR 225 and am looking at performance enhancing options. Im pretty sure im going to go for the piper exhaust system along with the required extras to handle this upgrade. Once i have purchased / fit these upgrades i am looking to have a revo remap of some sort but im confused at the main differences between what i understand are the options available.

Ive heard people speak of Stage 1, 2, & 3 and also custom / live remaps.

Can someone explain the general differences between these and if possible which one would be most benificial to me.

If anyone knows of a reliable garage in the Bristol and surrounding areas to do the above work, that would also be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

How did I no think to check there....

Thanks for the link.

From what I can see there, it appears that the difference depend on the hardware upgrades to the car. As standard you can only have Stage 1.

The following appears to be required for stage 2

A 4 bar fuel pressure regulator
A quality aftermarket performance exhaust system
A good air intake induction system or filter

And from what I can see in order to get a stage 3 you require a new turbo which I imagine is a massive ammount or work / cost.

Thanks for pointing me towards that.

My only remaining question is, what is a live / custom remap ?

Thanks again

ok i thought that was the case.

So would I be right to ask for a Revo Stage 2 Custom Remap and what additional costs might i expect to incur for that service ?

in basic terms to me

stage 1 is a generic map designed to run on a standard car
stage 2 takes into account exhuast, induction, 4 bar fpr
stage 3 is for big turbo conversions

only go stage 2 if you do have all the mods in place, not sure on the price but will be on the revo website

I was going to go for the spec provided in another thread curtousy of Junior Senior which was as follows.

Exhaust and fitting £1,000
TIP, DV and Induction kit £400 fitted
Dog bone mount £16 fitted
4 BAR FPR £45

Then Stage 2 Revo.

Have i forgotten anything ? :O

a front mounted intercooler, though not immediately essential, is a worthy upgrade for the level of spec stage 2 software requires. after all the more spec your car runs the higher IATs you'll see and effectively this lowers performance

an FMIC is not a necessary item, but its more a helpful one
possible to run stage 2 without it as i probably intend to, but add FMIC when can afford it

ok well this has been very useful gents.

Im pretty sure of my final spec then...and i better start saving i suppose!

Exhaust and fitting £1,000?
TIP, DV and Induction kit £400 fitted?
Dogg bone mount £16 fitted?
4 BAR FPR £45?
FMIC £700 fitted ?
Revo Stage 2 £600?

Total £2761

Are my estimates close ?
