Hi guys,

I had an accident recently and have just been offered 600 pounds from my insurance company to replace my alloy wheels and tyres from my car after the accident. :D

So i now have 600 pounds to spend or so to put alloy wheels on my car. I would love to fit the cupra R front bumper to the car as well as get some new alloy wheels and tyres for my car. If i can manage it

Can anyone give me any advice as to which ones i should go for ?? If i have got some money spare after i would love to purchase the cupra r front bumper with it.

Any suggestions what would look nice, can i have 17" or 18"?

Car is black

currently on my car i have

Alloy Wheel
momo x-43 7x17" PCD:5x100 OFFSET:35

Tyre
225 45 R17

What tyre size do my new tyres need to be, As my 2 tyres on my back wheels are fine to use im thinking il only need to get 2 tyres. So not sure if it will be cheaper to get alloys and wheels or get alloys only and buy 2 tyres to match my tyre size currently on my car.

Thanks

It has to be 18's but don't comprise and get cheap alloys. If you've got £600 then spend it on the alloys. I've just bought some 17's for £800 so leave the bumper till another time. Maybe e-bay is a good option as Ninja recommends.

tyres on 18s need to be 225/40/18 to be as close to the 17 spec so not to throw your speedo out much.

unfort i doubt you'll get R front bumper and 18s with tyres for 600.

Have a look in the for sale thread, slick is selling some nice 18s.

I got Fuel 6 18 inch wheels with Toyo Proxis, cost me just over a grand. I had bought 17 inch Momo quaser 2 for my cav Gsi a few years back. You can look on ebay for new but cheap alloys or even used but good condition alloys. Surf the net and have a look about. Dont forget guys here sell alloys too. Im affraid you wont get bumper and alloys..............so get the rimms baby.

Have you thought about when you change alloys to another type using the insurance money............your insurance will increase as they are non standard alloys !

Cache 22 - but I'd check with them before splashing out :)

i spoke to the insurance company and they said as they made a mistake by telling me that they were going to replace my alloys they would have to honour it without me having to pay any increase in premiums etc.

those of you out there who have 18" alloys on their seat leons does it fit with standard wheel arches? does it rub at full lock?? what other things do i have to beware about.

can anyone tell me where i can go to see alloys on seat leons on the www so i can see what they would look like on the car?

What wheels have you got that theyve only offered you £600 for, including tyres? If theyre standard wheels, or not, then you should price up the same ones new, and then the tyres and if its more than £600 tell your insurance comapny where to stick theyre offer!!!

if your leon is black then personally i absolutely love the look of these;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330180856940&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:VRI

they are quite fancy but i just adore them...
dont know anything aobut motorsport tuning though
i think my cousin is getting a set of these, followed by lcr bodykit, he's got a black 1.6s

if not then my preferred wheel is the replica rs6 5-spoke. thats what is on my list for when i need new tyres! :D

Are you 10yrs old, there awful and tacky.
