Coolant refill advise

Afternoon,

My Coolant needs topping up and reading the manual it says that you can not mix Seat G12 coolant with another brand additive as can cause damage !

Is this correct or is it a case of Seat wanting you to buy their stuff ? Reason for asking is that i can walk to halfords to get some or have to drive 25 miles to get the Seat Stuff!

Most VAG places should have G12, so you could try Skoda, VW, Audi etc.. should be one of them closer to you than the Seat garage

Yep - I bought some not long ago and didn't think it was mich more (if any) than normal - mine was from a VW dealer also.

Yes this is correct, its special long life anti corrosion stuff, you cant mix else it can furr up the inside.
