Hello...ive just signed up and posted an introduction thread.

Im looking at getting a Mk3 cupra.
Im 18 and this is going to be my second car.

Any tips on things to look out for?

a TIP..... get a quote with insurance first mate incase you get dissapointed when you buy one!

Already have some quotes....cheapest being 1270.00 FC.
Im Fine with that.....didnt think i was going to be able to insure one untill next year :)

that as a named driver or something? or do you have friends in insurance companies lol

make sure the water pump and cam belt have been changed if its got 60k or more miles (preferably at 50ish tho)

thats a very good quote. i have 2yncb im 21 and no convictions, accidents. i have a clean licence. keep my car garaged and my quote for insurance was 1100 TP. i decided to stay with my 1.4 and got FC for £700 in mods

I'd love to know how you people get the premium so cheap.

Im 20, fully clean licence etc etc, 0NCB, professional job and my premium is just over £2900 but i've just been refunded £400 for some kinda error made on their behalf.

It really frustrates me to see i pay so much. Why!!!

One possible reason is the fact i live in Birmingham...but my area is as good as anywhere for crime rates etc.

Insurance is a complete farse in my opinion.

yer im 20 1 year ncb no accidents or convictions at all and i pay 1300 third party fire and theft it was about 1800 fully comp for me.

not sure if it varies between companies but ive been with elephant & admiral and they both say group 17.

I know that elephant and admiral are basically the same company.

Its stupid really when there isnt really a difference between a cupra and a cupra r
