Hi there

Had my car serviced on my 05 Leon(still under warranty and only done 12,000 miles.

I'm a very careful lady owner...whta do you think of these recommendations by the dealership??

1 - recommended anti freeze change?(£39.99)
2 - recommend A/C service and treatment(£79.99)
3 - recommend brake fluid change(£29.99)
4 - expansion tank leaking(I have never had to top it up!) - garage has written 'suspect' next to it
5 - Rear brake discs on inner side, poor condition(£43.00)

Considering the low mileage and under 3 years old, should I be charged for some of this and is all of this required in such a young car?

Thanks in advance.

Well the a/c service is recommended every 2 years, but I do say recommended. The brake fluid is a bi-annual change also.Mine was done recently and my Leon cupra is 4 years old.As for the anti-freeze change not sure. The other stuff you could maybe pursue as a warranty claim?I'msure others may be along to comment soon.

Like he said, not sure about the anti-freeze change either.
The expansion tank should def be a warranty claim and, although I believe they aren't covered normally cos they are wear and tear items, I would try for the brake disc(s) as well, 12k / 2 years is nothing like what you should be getting from rear discs, mine are 72k / 6+ years old on my Leon Cupra and still got a bit of life left.

If fairness brake disks on inner side could go within 12,000 miles and need replacing. If people go down hills and continually have their foot on the break this can wear the disks over time.

Both my front were replaced at 20,000 not under warranty so think this is defo not warranty issue.

If you are in doubt have a second opinion.

1 - recommended anti freeze change?(£39.99)
see no.5 and get it done free
2 - recommend A/C service and treatment(£79.99)
if its working ok id pass but 2yrs is reccomended
3 - recommend brake fluid change(£29.99)
2 years change ( i prefer yearly)
4 - expansion tank leaking(I have never had to top it up!) - garage has written 'suspect' next to it
should be warranty and they will have to refill/change the anti freeze after as well
5 - Rear brake discs on inner side, poor condition(£43.00)
supposedly wear n tear but inners poor could be down to such low miles over 2 years - need to brake harder ;)
