Warwickshire once.
Disgrace, thats the only word for it!

If thats how you get treated on day one then your gonna have loads of fun with servicing and warranty issues from that Dealer.

Hope you get it all sorted.

I've only just read this thread. A long time ago and for a very short time (it was a tedious job), I used to check brand new cars into a dealership (non Seat). Most of them were 100% fine (obviously coated in wax with seat cover etc), but some turned up with swirl marks or even dings in the body.

The PDI sorted out any minor issues that weren't resolved with the dealership not accepting the car (or, I understand, agreeing a discount with the supplier).

If it's "brand new" but not perfect, you don't have to accept it as it is - and if you do accept it, the wheel needs to be brand new (a refurb might not match the others, and frankly, you didn't pay for a refurbed wheel).

Most importantly though, a slap dash PDI says to me to avoid that dealer (whoever they are) for servicing in the future too.

Pretty much in line with what I think.

My car came from a dealership in Grimsby, minus the data sticker in either the book or under the boot carpet. Purchased in Edinburgh - was told 'Seat must have forgotten to put it on'. Blemishes on the paintwork on the bonnet have polished out, but I'm wondering what the history was before I got it new. Had it been rejected? Why no sticker?

Came from the one Seat dealer in Edinburgh. People on SCN will know who this is. Not taking it there for servicing because of their reputation anyway.

Hey JPS
did you get the stealer to sort out all you problems withe the new toy?

Sorry guys being away for 5 days doing the Reivers Way and Coast to coast on a MTB!! Aboutr 335 miles. *Ouch* :)

I have to arrange to take the car in to have a new alloy fitted that has arrived and the other issues resolved which i'll arrange tomorrow.

The car doesn't have a sunroof but has the electric folding mirrors/cruise control etc.

I love the look of the car specially in the colour (Zenith Grey). Wasn't sure about it when I ordered it but as I promised I would never have a black car again it was the next best choice!

what's wrong with black?

Couldn't keep the bugger clean!! ;)

Looked spot on when washed and waxed but a mile down the road it was dirty again. Only problem living in the country I guess!

Car's gone in and I have a new Leon FR DSG (petrol) to drive around in. DSG is very weird, quite like it although it has the occasional annoying aspect but I've only done 35 miles in it.

HOW thirsty is it!!! damn!! My Scooby running twice the power gets the same but is much quicker lol. Might be my right foot? :p
