De-Wipered Rear

Is that a red grommet you've got in there Czechboy?

I'm guessing that normal paint has problems with the flexing needed to get the grommet in?

It was just spray painted red. And believe it or not the paint on the grommet never became dry to touch in 14 months of having it,lol.

Get it smoothed, the bung in mine stood out alot so i took it to the body shop.

I was getting some other work done at the same time, but they charged me and extra £50.

The wiper didn't work properly anyway so i thought it might as well go.

The theory is, if its on you car, then it has to work. Therefore, if the wiper motor is not on your car then it isn't part of the test. Back wiper isn't a requirement anyway. I had a mk4 Astra that had a broken rear wiper motor, sailed through MOT. Dont worry!

really easy to do the hole is 25mm see mine for track days i am a sparks and 25mm threaded bung fits without a locknut, i can get a lower profile one but is grey and would have to paint but not essential as for track days only.

Did mine today. Piece of piss to do, not sure if I like it though. Looks good without the wiper but the black bung thing looks really out of place.

least it will colour co-ordinate with your skirts/handles/outsides of your mirrors and the lower valances.

And draws attention to the fact you have no rear wiper - scene points

I'm going to get mine smoothed. Been quoted £40 from the same bodyshop that did my colour coding.

done mine today took 5 minutes and cost a pound. I got a red cupra and i dont think it stands out too much IMO!!

Answer, NO!!

Yeah it sticks out a little and yeah its not as clean as if you smoothed it but what if you want to return it to standard to sell??

Do it mate one of my cheapest most satisfying mods!!
