100,000 miles

Just thought I'd post to say that the car has just passed the 100K mile mark.

Had the car from new and even after all these years of driving it, I still, on the odd occasion find myself reaching for that imaginary 6th gear

Still enjoying the drive, though. I've thought about selling it a few times (usually when it breaks, lol) but it's my baby and can't think of anything with similar running costs and performance to replace it with :)

Long live the Ibiza!

Hopefully many many more.
Deffo's not going to sell it. I've done too much to it now. I'll probably change my mind again for a nano-second the next time it breaks but I know I wouldn't.

Funny how we can get so attached to the things. I think part of it is because I've had it since new. Not sure if I'd feel the same way if I'd have bought it second-hand, dunno, couldn't say tbh.

Unfortunately I don't mate. The most recent ones I've got are from Edition 38 last year and it probably had about 90,000miles.

I'll have to get some more recent ones done. It doesn't look any different to the pictures but I should get some up-to-date ones.

I must say, I think the car has held up well to the mileage. The interior is virtually as new (seriously). The only tell tale mark is on the drivers seat where the leather on the side bolsters are showing signs of cracking. It really isn't that bad though all things considered.

To be honest, the things that have broken have been pretty minor (except the clutch & flywheel). Most of the time it's just a poxy sensor of some sort. Still, when these things do break, they can be a pain to diagnose without vagcom.

Good job this site exists really.

Looks mint for 100K.

People didn't used to believe that mine had done 70K cos the paint work was/is well looked after....

Looks very nice mate!

Cheers Mike :)

I do my best to look after it. The stone chips on the front bumper/bonnet is the only real issue looks-wise but you have to get up close to notice them.

I've only had second hand cars, but I think it's like adopting a child...after a few years they feel like your own!
