Do they usually look like that above? Mine has got a mahussive ribbed rubber sleeve thing covering over hundreds of cables.

Oh, with the wiring on mine, I was a cowboy and used the existing, just solder the 4 cables in the dash together into two, connect to the crossover and work from there.

I really couldn't be arsed to rewire the whole lot like I did on my last car there and then.. Will probably be doing it soon though. Especially if I get new componenets!

mines the same with the rubber covering hundreds of cables.

think the guy who had mine before me used the electric mirror wires to put the speakers in the door.

the wires on the door go into a plug. so i think this is why my electric mirrors were made obcelete. not sure how else you can put extra wires through unless theres a free socket in the plug. or you could drill a hole through the plug to feed wires through, if theres space!

oy yeah. you can unscrew the plug! (not sure if youve had it off- or what you know about it)

The budget models (like mine ) have just the rubber blanking gromet where the wires for the electric windows etc. are run on the more expensive models. Its easy enough to drill/poke a hole through the gromet to run the speaker wires...

well i havent had any luck as of yet!

theres 2 separate plugs which are removable from the car-side, ive tested and speakers and electric windows still work when one of them is removed so ive honestly no idea what the wires are for, ill try from there when ive got some light tomorow.

you any idea if the whole plastic block is removable? it has a spanner type shape on the outside so maybe so but its far too slim/soft or any tools i have to hand and dont really fancy getting the drill out.

ill have another go tomorow and let you know what happens. cheers dude, by the way sweet car and website, kinda my bible lol.

Ive got the rubber sleeve thing, but it will only have the wires for my electric windows in it so i should manage to get speaker wires through. Will be attempting this weekend!!

I was abit of a cowboy aswell when i put an upgraded set of 10cm speakers in the dash. I used the existing wiring, cut it and put the wires into a strip/block connector. The two positive on one side and the 2 negative on the other. Will make it easier when wiring up my crossovers.

I need to check what room I have on mine then.... I've got speakers, electric mirrors, central locking and electric windows. I'm worried about rewiring them now!!!

I was inspecting that grommet thing and it is a wiring plug.

It is like a plug in the hole with the wires going into it then the same wires coming out the other side.

Take your door cards off, you may already have speaker wires there. I found a speaker cable on each side so im just going to adapt the standard wiring to fit my crossovers and speakers/tweeters!!
