how to get the best turbo sound

hi im fairly new to a turbo engine (last car was a mk3 vr6)
im driving a leon 20v/t now but how do i get the best (read nice and loud)
turbo sound

im running a stock airfilterhousing with a k&n insert filter and a sebrering exhoust damper

but i realy want to hear my turbo louder
what can i do

Ramair induction kits make such a lound noise.

If you like hearing your turbo spin up, i recommned a forge TIP with KN typhoon filter or carbonia induction kit from awesome gti

I'm running my 20vt with a Forge DV, Powertec induction kit and a full Blue Flame exh system, it sounds superb and has made a big difference to acceleration and even at the top end.

And most importantly the turbo sounds wicked inside and outside of the car!

blueflamt turbo back dyna twist and 007, sound really nicve and pretty loud!
you can hear mine through the exhaust and the filter!

Hearing turbo whistle and wanting a dump valve are two different things fella.

The best sounding induction kit (Spool and Induction Roar and dump valve sounds) was the Carbonio from AwesomeGti which I never owned but hearing other peoples sounded

buy a tdi, never understand why but TDi turbo's are soo bloody loud.

Can you fit external wastegates to 1.8T's, i assume not on standard turbo, that would sound good though

Forge TIP, open cone filter, Bailey DV30 and 15+psi of boost ... you'll hear everything no problem.

Im using a neuspeed powerflow filter and a forge split r dump valve, sounds nice!

A remap changes the sound quite a lot, its far higher pitched in my opinion. It was the first thing I noticed after I got Revo

yes, u need 2 have the remap to get a good sound
I fitted a K+n 57i, with a pipe of and LDV to feed it from the bumper and a powerflow exhaust. also bought a forge DV and fitted it the reverse way to make it louder, the car make a really sweet whistle during boost and some funky popping noises from the exhaust.
also reversing the DV gives a loud dump thats heard from bout 50m away.

My forge is reversed. Its a weird noise, not chavvy, just a tweat, loud enough to turn heads at close range.

by reversing the dv! does it loose pressure as its pressing againts the spring?
