hi everyone,

i was cleaning the car at the weekend and noticed that on one of the rear wheels the 'alloy' has blistered \ flaked on one of the spokes and come off. Anyone know what had caused this and is it easy to repair or claim under warranty. car is 54 plate and covered 19k miles. wheels are 16" TDI sport spec.

The other 3 alloys are ok.

thanks

Hi,

All 4 of my wheels (also 16" TDI Sport items) were showing bubbling, so asked for action when the car went in for it's 20000 mile service. Garage contacted Seat who agreed to replace them with a new set. Week later took the car in and the job was done in a few hours.

Credit to SEAT for this no quibble response. Other manufacturers have suffered this, with some citing faulty lacquer protecting the surface of the alloy.

Hope this helps.

Charles
