fair point....red paint is cheaper for some reason! save myself £350... although... theyre putting awful wheels on it... the standard ones, they said " they cant change them" so i'm going to be lumbered with terrible wheels... apparently cos the 1.4tdi comes with 15's they cant change them....rubbish!

also want the FR rear lights that are the darker colour! too many wish lists :(

surely you can get insured on a pd100-130 can these are low insurance group and can be remapped upto 180bhp!!!!! and still put out 40mp MINIMUM! if i was to buy anouther ibiza it wouldnt be black as i promise it is a pain to keep clean and all the scratches realy show! red im not a great fan of imo (sorry ad lav!)!!! it would definatly be the graphite grey  lovely coulor hide the dirt a bit and scratched wont show so bad

Get an FR and get one of your parents as policy holder??

That way you can be named driver and still carry a NCB?

You will have the better car??

Or if not go for 1.9tdi sport/reference?

you should definatly try and go for a 1.9tdi shouldn't think it will be that much more and it has SOO much more potential if you buy a 1.4tdi you won't be able to make it that fast even if you throw loads of money at it!! as for colour i think yellow only looks good on fr and cupra's, black would be ok i would have thought and diesel wont show up as much like it does on my yellow one hahaha!!!

ha thats pretty much what my insurence is for 10 months but surely you can get a 110 sport or something will still be loads better than the 1.4tdi!!

you make it sound awful....maybe a bad mistake thinking about it then!
i do want a diesel though, seems so much better value than petrol.... im used to a noddy car...1.0 so anythhin is quicker! MK seat are pretty good, but they seem to wanna get rid of these 1.4tdi's! good old place though! maybe a change of heart.... the 1.9tdi sport is £1500 insurance, and 1.4tdi is 1300, so worth going for 1.9tdi..... just depends on payments etc!!

like Mike said if you get a 1.4 you will never live it down you will be one year into your payments and just think i really want something a little more pokey then you will start throwing cash at it which to be honest wont make a massive difference you will most probally get your 1.4 to the 1.9's power standard. then you hit a brick wall. i recomend spending the extra, i made this mistake when buying a 1.6 Golf, spent about £2,000 on performance mods it and only gained 20BHP max then i moved onto my 1.8T and a £450 would get you 50BHP instantally.

yea mate my honest advice is get the 1.9 even if you can't go for the 130 and have to go for one of the 110's or somethign its still so much more tunable just get that put a pd160 intake green cotton filter miltek exhaust and fmic and then get it mapped would have thought that would be for for 170bhp??? i don't really know though. if you want me to take you out for a spin mate let me know i'm still in the *any excuse to drive it* phase ahhahaha

i fear i may be converted.... the 1.9tdi looks the best bet...then gives me summin to look forward to if i wanna go up again...at least that way give sum1 a run for there money! i see wot your all sayin about the power in the 1.4.... it does have it, but its not really, in your face power, its silent boring type! ha

yea well when your free send me a message and i'll make myself free to be jealous of your car
