Rear Strut brace

Before i get shouted at i have searched but could not find the answer to my question, which is is the only rear strut brace for the Leon the one that goes in the boot or is there a lower one that fits under the car, it just that i thought i saw one but i might be getting mixed up with the Audi front lower strut brace. all help appreciated Cheers

Phill, there is an upper rear strut brace that goes in the boot, AND a lower ARB like the Neuspeed ones that go under the car like in the group by that just run.

If it fits under the car at the back it's an anti-roll bar not a strut brace

Sorry my mistake i ment strut brace.

strut braces can be fitted in two locations in the boot ala RobDon's car

Ok thanks i must have got mixed up with the audi front strut brace and thought that there was also a rear one, as i dont want one in the boot as i use it.

i fitted h & r front n rear anti roll bars 3 months ago well worth the money.

The Leon doesn't have a rear anti roll bar (ARB) as std, the Leon uses a torsion bar type arrangement in the rear beam. The addition of ARB's reduces roll and they can be used with std suspension.

They transform the handling of a leon and assuming you don;t have an LCR cheaper H&R and Eibach kits can be sourced rather than the more expensive Neuspeed once the LCR requires.

I don't know what the Mk11 section is

where can i get the upper rear strut brace like mr don's ? i remember seeing a fitting guide somewhere a while back (pabs maybe?) i'd go for the lower version but my subs would be in the way.

I've just bought Eibach ARB's for my LCR (haven't had them fitted yet) - are you saying the rear one won't fit?
I thought the only issue was exhaust clearance but I do have a Milltek exhaust so thought I was OK with this? As far as I'm aware Songman has this setup on his car.

the upper one is quick release, too, so you can remove it, if you need the space.

I assume that whatever back box is on the car is smaller than the OEM version?

The std exhaust clashes with the H&R and Eibach rear ARB's, the only rear ARB I have found that fits with OEM exhaust is Neuspeed
