Part Number for a 3.94 Final Drive

Anyone know the part number for the 3.94 final drive?

Wanna price it up, if it's close to the price of finding a gearbox with this final drive and the cost of striping it to remove the final drive then it might be worth buying new

Found it out, so for research information!

3.94 final drive is out of a Passat.

Part Number: 02A 409 143K

Gearbox codes: CHA, CEW, AYH, AYM, CAT, CEW, CEY, CEX and CGX.

What do you expect your speeds in each gear to be with this final drive?

Slightly lower speeds in each gear but acceleration is improved a lot. I'm not interested in going 140mph, rather get up to speed quicker!

The top table is the current standard box, the bottom table is one fitted with a 3.94 final drive.

Got the final drive today... doesn't look much for the price

Spoken to a bloke about lightening my flywheel and machining the tappered bit off my throttle body to...

So if it doesn't rain saturday off comes the gearbox, get the final drive fitted and rebuilt with new bearings and seals, the flywheel lightened and throttle body fitted next weekend mmmmmmmmm

figures look interesting but I am not too sure on what each of the figures means.

Guessin the numbers under the 1000's are the speeds in each gear and the 1000's are the revs?

I managed to get a small discount but it's usually £238

best value performance you will have on a 16V.....really good if combined with a quaife diff
