i am replacing my mk2 ibiza soon, and i am getting a mk4 fr tdi

i have compared the smaller cars in the same group, and from what i have seen nothing comes close in terms of performance and economy to the fr tdi. and the ibiza is definatley the best looking car, especially the facelift model which everytime i see it in red makes me want one

best reviews i have found have been parkers, they like the ibiza but the issues they had were valid but they still said was good. and the old lcr they stated was better than a ctr and focus rs, and they like the new cupra as well

we just need an honest review mag that doesnt review the badge and reviews the car ect

yeah thats the only thing i have to say against parkers, is they still find silly issues with them like the lcr being badge and the new cupra looking similar to the rest but really liking the rest of it

end of the day with the ibiza, no other small car has the same cost effectiveness and performance of the fr tdi and it looks great hence my choice

my missus then bought a 1.2 mk4 and I ended up driving it and thought how lovely is this to drive and immedietely researched the more powerful version.
I test drove a number of cars before I bought my 1.2: Citroen C1, Daihatsu Sirion, Skoda Fabia, VW Polo. And even though the last two are built around the same platform... the Ibiza was just more comfortable and so much nicer to drive. (These are comments I've heard from other SEAT owners/passengers as well.) For all its imperfections, that won me over --- it's so taut and responsive and fun.

they obviously prefer the diesel but i feel this is a much more honest review and the common problems (windnoise road noise) was spotted! but this shows why i love this car cause i dont care about road noise and windnoise im interested in fun confortable and performance

What Car? did a magazine article about the Ibiza FR TDI, 206 HDI GTI and Polo GT TDI, Ibiza came out tops!! :D

Love my car to bits, better than the Ford Ka and new Vauxhall Astra I used to own!

Dad's Fabia VRS is just as good as mine but its 5 door...

April 2007 top gear mag, jc says the new leon gives him hope for the future that all cars will not be the same.

yeah but does anyone else think it's kinda cool to drive a car that's overlooked, that not many people really know about until you show them and they look at it properly? Being honest, you dont see many FR's/Cupra's on the road do you? compared to clio's/corsa's/206's? I love being mean to other cars trying to race me, not knowing what's under the bonnet! and hardly anyone knows it's a VAG 1.8T under the bonnet do they? It's a shame the car is always overlooked -most car mags stay mainstream and reccomend the bloody clio as ever, purely overlooking the SEAT badge, but for us in the know, knowing how good the driving position and everything is, it's great. I love the car being a bit more 'underground' then most.

-Understated coolness is what our cars are about :)

The way I see it, most car owners don't care about cars and you hardly ever see the same car twice, so the person you just beat probably doesn't care!

My old Mk4 was modded to the hills and only car enthusiasts at car shows or on forums showed interest in it, even then it wasn't a massive amount!
