LCR Tyres... Falken FK-452...

Just had 2 FK452 fitted to the front of my car, to join the 2 rear i had done last week.... what a difference, on the short drive home you can feel the difference straight away the car actually grips in corners now, and wants to go round them without trying to go straight on :drive1:

If there's anyone in the West Sussex area, i found some at WG Tyres in Billingshurst at £57.95 + vat fitted, for the 205/55-16 which is vary competative to the on line price i paid recently then had to get them fitted..

Excellent :D:D

i must say these are the best tyres i've had on the leon, very very grippy in the dry and a revalation in the wet, less wheelspin, its almost like driving a different car.

I'm also getting a set for the front to match up with the back pair I've recently had fitted. I'll get them fitted when my wheels get painted :)

Are they definitely extra load?

I've just spoken to my local tyre shop and they can supply and fit the falkens for £79.90. The only thing was that the assistent who I spoke to didnt think these were extra load

He told me that he had them fitted on his DC5 and he thought they were rubbish but I guess they won't suit all car makes/models...He said he replaced them with F1's within 2000 miles lol...

Nice bloke though...

I'm curious how these compare to the new F1 Asymmetric, need a couple to replace the rubbish Conti Sport Contact 2 that came on mine as they are down to 2mm. I had the old Falkens (451s I think) on my last car and I found the F1s a little better in the wet and the Falkens the same in the dry. (Also had Dunlops and Michelins on the car and would rate Falkens/F1s above them)

Was set on the F1s but the price suddenly jumped £10 a tyre so looking about for alternatives.

I tried Falken tyres once before, thought as they're listed as "ultra high performance" but only half the price of Dunlop/Goodyear etc. they've gotta be worth a try!

The ones I had were the 451's on 17" rims on my 206...

Complete waste of money :( They were at best 'average' in the dry, absolutely useless in the wet, and after 4k of 'spirited' driving they were completely shot. Not only that, I kirbed my alloys for the first time ever, thanks to the daft looking 'euro style' sidewalls which offer no rim protection whatsoever!

Is there a significant difference between the 451's & the 452's?

All the same, I think I'll hold out for a 'long term' review before I even consider buying Falkens again...

yep fair difference between the old 451's and the new 452's mate, like you i had 451's on my ibiza and they were crap, ok in the dry, nightmare in the wet and that was on a car that was 100bhp down on my LCR. 452's are very good i've only had them on for a few days but with the recent scottish summer we've had that means its bone dry one minute and pissin down the next, these tyres are really good in both, a hundred times better than the kumho's i had on before.

i believe robdon has had about every tyre going on his car so if he thought they we're good then that was good enough for me, i bought them and they are good, cant compare them to the gsd3 as i've not had them but rob thinks they are as good if not better.

75 quid a corner fitted....A bargain......if they're as good as quoted !

452's are very good i've only had them on for a few days but with the recent scottish summer we've had that means its bone dry one minute and pissin down the next,
