no haven't got a manual boost controller to try.... I'm willing to try anything its getting on my nerves now !! I did try running with the N75 disconnected from the actuator though and it made no difference....

Where do you get a decent MBC from and how do you fit it so ECU doesn't throw a tantrum ?

Thought i'd resurect this post and give people some updates (for those who care)

After much playing around and checking I ran the car with no N75 whatsoever and tried to see what the turbo would boost too.... so I warmed it all up and then gave it one in 3rd, it wouldn't boost past 19-20 psi, 4th gear up a hill still wouldn't go past 20 psi (with the needle on the boost gauge shaking around like crazy)

Obviously this isn't right, so I e-mailed ATP and they finally agreed that obviously something was wrong with the turbo and are sending me out a new one, allowing me to get it fitted and then they will arrange a courier to pick up the defective one !! Pretty good customer service I thought....

Anyway the car is going back in Wednesday or Thursday depending on when the turbo arrives so hopefully should be up and running by the end of the week..

The new turbo arrived from America last week and the car is currently being sorted now, meaning i'm cruising round in my mums 106, sweet....

Hopefully I'll being seeing the right side of 280bhp by the end of this week....

yes mate, the car is all back spools a lot better but is now having issues with the N75 valve and isn't pulling more than about 15 psi (although it is still a lot quicker than it ever was with K03s even at 15psi). The guy tried an N75C from a Golf and it worked fine pulling requested boost no probs.

now just need to order a new N75 and it should be happy days, not entirely sure of which derivitive to go for though ?

only other problem is one of the CV joints sounds like its seen better days so want to get that sorted, lowered suspension and an almost 100% power increase would do that i suppose

On another note its still a mystery why the other one spooled so badly, there is nothing obvious just to look at it and the wastegate flap look tightly closed and on face value everything else seems in order (although ATP appear to have altered the actuator rod design somewhat)

Ive not got any on just now and car boosts between 24-28psi at 3500rpm, have got a forge manual one to go on and trun boost down to around 22psi. But have apexi on way this week. Going by what ive heard apexi is the way to go.

So you're running no boost control at all ??!! isn't that a bit risky, do you know what the AFR is at 28psi , are you running a wideband ?

who are going to get to wire up your Apexi ??

i have the standard n75 valve controlling boost but turbos only been on car for a week and ive only had it too 28psi when i 1st fitted it. No dont know what afr is. Wideband is on its way and ill fit apexi myself. Have been driving car sensibly till i have a controller on it.
