a light grey usually pretty normal. If blue not so good as is burning oil.

It is a light grey definitely .... will check oil levels when I get home ..... tis booked in for cambelt, water pump and oil change in August.

Say worst case senario and it is as you say "burning oil" .... what are the implications of that and causes?

Hi mate -- A good trick is to put a piece of kitchen towel up against the tailpipe for a few seconds when it's smoking; if the paper is damp then it's probably just condensation, if it has wee black spots and smells of oil... then it's throwing oil out, if it's black and sooty then overfuelling.
