Matt do you get any warranty with those manifolds i.e. if it cracks within a set amount of time, you get it changed over

I know the ATP manifolds (which are always being reported as cracking) always swap out the manifolds free of charge

Yup - you pay shipping to ATP (they should pay for returning).

If you got it from a UK official supplier they you should be OK returning it to them - but as a lot of people are getting direct from ATP to save some cash then it has to be sent back to ATP.

Also think that the car will be off-road for 3 to 4 weeks while it's shipped, inspected & replaced (if faulty). I would bet that ATP don't actually cast these in-house so once ATP get them back it'll have to go to the casting company for them to inspect..........

Well neither of the manifolds turned up even though i paid the massive delivery charge to get it today.

Yes the other one is the Backdraft cast one, looks good from the pictures i have seen.

So didn't get too much done today.

Repostioned the intercooler 1.5 inches lower to fill the bumper more and get more of the core exposed too the air flow.

I removed the aquamist kit as i have sold it to the same chap that bought the forge FMIC off me.

I fitted the S3 fuel pump.

and fitted the exhaust system.




Here are the 2 fuel pumps side by side.

There is very little modification to do to it. You can see the black plug stickig out to the right, this needs to be cut of and the 2 wires joined together, this is for the fuel level sender.

Also you will see the black pipe with the blue cap on it, i just used a small jubilee clip to secure this on.

The reason behind this is........ this pipe is only there for use with 4 wheel drive vehicles as the tank is in 2 halves due to the prop shaft, this pipe then links the 2 halfs together so it empty's evenly, so there is no need to use it, just blank it.

You need to swap the level sensor from the ibiza pump to the S3 pump then slot it in place, job done. ( I think )

Yes, that exhaust does look good. :yes:

Is that a new pump, Matt? I'm still confused on the pump issue. I know the S3 (and Leon4) pumps have a twin pickup, but I can't find proof that they are higher pressure than the LC pump :shrug:

Yeah brand new pump mate. I can't find proof either but Bill has runs one with a additional pump for extra pressure.

Jabba fit them as part of there IHI kit.

If anything its good to put a fresh pump in there for peace of mind.

What cooler an exhaust are they mate?

How much has all this set u back if u dont mind me asking?

What bhp are you expecting?

even if you bought in the states you should if warranty be able to return to the most convenient representative

Hoping for 360+ BHP with any look.


in total i think i have spent about £ 3600 in parts but need to add up. Once iam done i will be putting a list together for everything needed a where to get for this conversion.

Iam finding out the hard way unfortunately.

You covering the front with mesh or leaving it exposed?

Wasn't there a postal strike yesterday, that might be why your manifold hasn't come? Or is it coing via a courier?

Coming along nicely there chap. I will have to check part numbers on the fuel pumps to see if there actually is a difference.

Backdraft manifold is the nuts. I will be running one soon. It will sit the turbo nice an high (similar position to bills) so downpipe will be less restrictive and the inlet straighter flowing.

Have you checked your section mate, iam after a blanking plate for the SAI if you can help.

Just leaving the intercooler exposed mate.

At least today wasn't a waste, still got plenty done. The thing thats annoyed me is paid £ 40 postage to get it here today. [:@]
