Just bought a 55 plate TDI 150..

Anything i should watch out for?

Are there some regular little mods that everyone does?! Not wanting to go overboard but any advice you've got will be great!

Welcome to the forum... and nice choice of car :)

I'll say this now though, since you've just joined us.... most questions you think of have already been asked, answered, discussed and asked again. So, use the Search option and everything you need to know will be right there in front of you. Sometimes you have to search for a couple of similar things to find what you're looking for, but you'll find it :)

Ok, had a quick look around!

Think my first little mods are going to be a new aerial, It seems like everyone goes for the honda one, and painting my calipers..

The car is red so some nice red calipers will look nice!

Haven't got the car yet, got to wait a couple of weeks for my reg to be transfered over! :(

Rear wiper is pretty crap as standard, both in terms of looks and how effective it is. And as for the Honda aerial, there are always some on eBay cheap, but they aren't toooo much more from Honda direct.

Hi MR C, just bought a 150 TDI about 5 weeks ago and yes if you don't search then you run the risk of being online flogged!

I've done the following mods:

1. Cupra R Lower Front Bumper Lip
2. Cruise Control
3. Fabia Rear Wiper
4. Next - S2000 Ariel
5. Next - OMP Front Upper & Lower Strut Brace
6. Next - REVO
7. MAF Dieelectric grease

Let us know by PM if you like as newbies do run the rick of beatings!

Also have you looked at the TDI Subforum

Now thats strange  I use to frequent there aswell when I had my ZR

I think i remember seeing some of your posts.. Seem to remember the name Rich TD back when i used to post (12 months ish ago)..

SCN doesn't seem as helpful as themgzr, Doesn't everyone new just get flogged and sent for the search function!

What's the recommendations for the Leon then?

Don't like going OTT..

For the Zed i put Straights, Side Skirts, Panel Filter, Exhaust (and probably a few others!) just to give you an idea!

Well with the FR+ model, you are half way there on the exterior - skirts, front/rear bumpers, exhaust unless you want an oval one and maybe bigger wheels, its all up to you fella. Have a look in the tdi section, it may help you out a bit more.
