head unit

is there any chance on me puttin my alpine head unit in my centre console??? had a word with a bloke 2 day said u can do with but you lose control of ur fans aircon etc... is there away 2 be able 2 out a headunit in without this trouble???

like Steve said hooch....basically cuts out the tape section and leaves the aircon display etc there

Other people have installed head units in the glove box, under the steering wheel, in the air vents above the aircon unit, where ever they can fit it basically!!

You certainly can.....did mine myself....its hard going (unless your Hooch who has done loads of corse). but worth it...still got all aircon and fan controls!

nice 1 ... i was afraid that i was stuck with a crappy sound system.. would pm this hooch but as of yet i dont have 10 posts so carnt pm him... any1 have any ideas on price??? dont really wanna do it myself might end up messin it up lol

it dangles down behind fuse panel cover under the steering wheel.

ive got my flip out screen in my middle vents the aircon still works but only out the sides

mines built into the middle air vents. flip out tv screen

I think i'm gonna do this soon. Need to look at the cutting of the facia side of things first.
