Leaking Sunroof

...and what a pain in the posterior it is with all this rain we're getting. Nice wet headlining on the drivers side and down the material bit that runs on the door side of the A pillar. First noticed it because there was water in the door pocket!

Presumably I just need a new seal for the sunroof? Anyone any experience of this and how much it is to buy and get fitted? Also anyone got an interim solution? Thought of maybe putting a bit of clear silicone sealant on the metalwork the seal butts up to, although I would need a dry day and a time when I can leave the sunroof open without risk of a shower. No garage unfortunately but I need to get this sorted before my headlining is ruined and before the water finds a route into my fusebox (which is a bit close for comfort)

These niggles are getting pretty irritating and the pocket is starting to hurt with what are relatively minor failures that are becoming far too regular. Would not surprise me if I end up paying half what the car is worth on repairs this year.

OK, although the seal needs attention I also think the drivers side drain hole in the front corner of the 'drip tray' was blocked. I managed to push a flexible rod about a foot down but haven't got anything else to hand to try the whole tube. I believe this runs down the A pillar but it sits behind the metal not just the plastic interior cover. Any ideas how to go about this? Does anyone know where the drain tube emerges as I might have a go at the bottom end (oo er missus)? I'm hoping it hasn't become detached (or I haven't pushed it off with my efforts at unblocking), if so not sure how this would get reattached without sunroof removal.

Any ideas on any of the above welcome. Don't be shy if you own a Leon, I'm sure it's the same set up. :)

Thanks for the reply but didn't quite understand the first part of what you wrote "It's normal the tube as you die!?".

Goble is it a plastic tube that runs the full length from the sunroof to behind the splash guard or does water just drain through the metal A pillar? Do I need to dismantle much to get to the bit you say I need to wash out?

Thanks
