How bad is this?

Right i will take this from the top. I brought my 02 LC from Ryland seat in cardiff when it was just over a year old through there used car setup. When the car was paid for and a pick up date was set i had a pnone call saying the bumper was damaged when it was in the car park and they would fit a new one because of this and would i mind picking it up a week later,no problem i say. Pick the car a week later and all seems well.
Anyway i have just been updating the bumpers this afternoon with LCR ones and to my shock when i took the front one off there is a huge dent in the drivers side of the large front crash bar! its atleast 3" long by 1" deep and it,along with the underside of the head light is covered in over spray.
Three things i could really do with help on now are,
1: Is it safe?
2: How much is a new one going to be?
3: Do you think i will be able to claim anything agaist seat for this?
Any feed back would be great,this is my family car and from day one the main front protection has been damaged! Iam not a happy bunny.

3) Ok - so its been about 4 years now - no chance on going back to the stealers I'm afraid. No point in trying - there really is no proof that you have not done this in the last 4 years or so. Annoying I know but you will have no chance.

1) Difficult to say - any pics as a huge dent to you could be small to me.

a dented crash bar should be replaced - they're good for one hit only

agree with Mork completely.
Had to replace my bumper and they said it was only good for the one hit and should be replaced, safety sake.

Think it was about £80 to purchase - (if i remember in morning will dig out quote with part number etc for it).

I driver a TDi Cupra, but think it should be same part, but at least will give price idea, in short
1 - no
2 - £80
3 - no

Cheers gents,Iam going to pop to westec on monday morning to see if they can change ot over for mas its going to be in with them for an air con compressor. I know i have zero chance of getting anything from seat,it just goes to show how shocking the dealers are in my mind,and thankfully like ska says they are shut down now. But iam 99% sure the kid that sold me the car now works in audi down the road from me,may go an give him a slap for sh!ts and giggles.

Crikey, £80 is better than I thought. At that price keaney I would not hesitate as better to be safe than sorry.

Without a doubt mate,even if it was £200 iam getting it done asap,its just a wind up its been 4 years like it! makes you think if i did have a head on how much of a difference it would make it being screwed
