Thinking of getting it mapped

How exactly does a gasket that sits on the inlet manifold reduce intake temperatures?

Not saying I doesn’t, just wondered what the theory was behind it?

erm, to be honest I dont know, im sure someone can explain it

but my guess would be, that as the gasket spaces the manifold out a few mm, it therefore does not get as hot, as of course its not sitting as close to the engine, therefore allowing for cooler intake temps to be entered into the engine

I know that does not sound a very technical application, but thats what I am guessing

So it insulates the inlet manifold to stop it from heating up, from the heat of the engine?

Has it made a noticeable difference Harvey?

I will be purchasing one soon

my friend has one on his Ibiza Cupra, and not a massive difference, it certianly has helped

Bill did some data logging quite a while back, and I believe it did show a reduction in the inlet temps

if not, it just sounds cool:D

no seriously it is a worthy modification Rob and I think Bill has now got a new manufacturer of the gaskets....they use to be about £80....but I think they might be cheaper now:)
