Are you used to driving a turbo diesel? They tend to drive differently to petrol, as in, the turbo kicks in after a little while.
A few questions,
I drive a Mark 2 Leon FR TDI 170. The question that nobody appears to be able to answer (and this includes the SEAT Dealership) how do you determine whether my car is actually the 170Bhp Version of the 2.0 TDi Engine?
In the boot there is a sticky label which details what appears to be an engine code, paint code etc. but no BHP version.
Finally, this Engine is supposedly fitted with a DPF Filter which differs this from the 140 bhp version, but where is this filter located?
Any answers anybody?
170 engines have BMNXXXXXX codes - see logbook/service bookA few questions,

The cursed DPF is in the front but under all the crap, bit like a o/s beer can with about 5 sensors coming out of it. then it goes into the exhaust cat etc. etc.
G/Box type is marked near the gear casingalond side the drive shafts, can't remeber if its NS or OS.
But you must of known that anyway! I mean did you get the FR styling. i.e. Front bumber, rear diffuser, seats with FR on back, steering wheel, gearknob. Theres more chance of a calm astra driver than Seat putting in the wrong engine.
You should be able to tell with your eyes closed. The extra pull you feel over a 140 is def. noticable
i doubt that it is the wrong engine but it would appear difficult to prove that its not unless Tested.
@ 3000 rpm, im not suprised. Floor it man...
