Hi people

I know this has been covered before but I want to know some other stuff too.... Right so I have a black facelifted FR, so its got the 17 inch alloys on and I'm thinking of getting them powdercoated black. Any thoughts?
Also, does anybody roughly know how much powdercoating costs? Also, can you un-powdercoat them easilly? I've got a mate on the photoshopping it now.

Thanks

Are you leaving the other exterior bits (eg mirrors. back bumper near licence plate) the same colour? Or doing them black as well?

Black car with black wheels? You'll be forever cleaning it. Just think what it'll be like in the winter. Must admit though, flat black wheels don't seem to show the dirt that badly.

i know what you mean about black on black. sometimes they look like the steel wheels too. bunnin's car looks mint, not sure if i could pull off the silver rim with my wheels. mates done a very rough photoshop, tell me what u think

well the mirrors are the silver ones, everything else is black. wouldn't be a big effort to get some black mirrors. the photo will be up when photobucket starts working...

not a fan of black on black. think white might look good though if you can be bothered to clean em every week

thanks very much rich85. they look good. i imagine a powder coater would be able to do them too, might even cost less cause theres less to do!

thanks for that website too galetony, its cool. alloys are out of my price range at the moment sadly, but went on a job hunt today so may be able to afford a new set in a month or so.

powder coating is not alot cheaper and there is actually more to do thanpainting unfortunatly i once was a powder coater and my god was that BORING  the tyres will need to be completly removed unlike sprayed you can just break the bead of the tyre to paint

with powder coating you need to shot blast them de greese them then apply the powder bake them cool them then replace the tyres also there isnt as good of finish with powder coating

me personaly i dont like black wheels on black car look like steels! if i had to replace my rims it for definate would be these!VVVV

but if i HAD to go black it for sure would be these!!! VVVVV

mmmmm those alloys are sexy. did you ever get a hold of some for shows like you said you were going to?
theres a lot more work with powdercoating that i thought. might just save up and get some alloys in that case. thanks for the info
