depends,if your clutch is slipping then there is no point taking it to 180ish.
160-170 is safe.

yeah i have it backed off to 170 as i dont want to have to put a clutch in lol.... it was just a query that i has as i am test driving a vxr on saturday just to see what they are like

the cupra CAN be faster and handle as well as the vxr

once you have paid for the mods I wonder what the price difference is ?

thing is the vxr will never look as good as a cupra no matter what mods it has

also what will the vxr map to as it must be quite close to the limit with 200ps from a 1.6 t vvt ?

i drove a vxr at the weekend. It's quick but the finish inside is pants compaired to the ibizas. Definetely quicker off the line but once you get the power down in your fr and the grip up you'd get past one at about 60-65 something like thatthen you'd be awf. The vxr was good but just rattley as france with loads of silly easily scratched plastic crap
