Locking query

When I lock the car using the remote fob, and only pressing the button once, the LED on the passenger door flashes quickly for what look's like 7 times, then immediately flashes the say once per second signifying locked and alarmed.

BUT, reading the manual, it say's to lock the car and to de-activate the "SAFE" mode, press twice, the LED will flash 7 times then flash once per second after a time lapse of 28sec's

So, I'm a little confused as to whether my car is locking and de-activating the "SAFE" mode, or is it locking as it should and actually activating the "SAFE" mode.

Part and parcel of post, what's everyone else's doing?????

feckin dealer told me, 2 clicks to dead lock!

Found out when i read manual he was wrong!!

Yeah, this is how it should be, but my query was that after I press only once, the LED flashes 7 times (according to the manual, this signifies that "SAFE" is De-activated and the Ultra-sonics are switched off) but it then starts to flash as normal for alarmed.

The handbook says that the LED will flash 7 times to signify safe and sonics switched off, then 28 sec's later will flash for cars with alarms.

What does your car's LED's do???

Mine appears to be doing both that's all, well according to the sequential flashing of the LED.

I probably didn't explain myself very clearly.

so why is it then whe you press it once it locks the car then you press and hold it the second time it folds the mirrors and if the windows were open closes them? would have thought this was to signify that its in its most secured state??

when i press lock on my FR, i get several quick flashers followed immediately by a flash every second.

if i press lock twice i get the several quick flashes followed by a long pause (probably 28 secs like you mentioned) then the flashing every second.


whats the ultrasonics? the internal motion sensor?

i dont have to press it a second time to fold mirrors and close windows, i do it with just one press and hold.

Yes, the Ultrasonics are the motion detectors.
