Petrol remaps are £500 too you know
And I'll stay out of anything relating to diesel engines from now on.
Well remaps i saw recently on some website for VAGs saying £350 + Vat for petrols and £450 + Vat on PD TDIs
Its not you have to stay out of diesel engines post, just a point of read about the diesel engine/problems if your going to post about it, thats all!?
tbh if your gonna spend £500 on a remap in a diesel, then you might aswel chuck in the £150 for a clutch upgrade
Think your find its more expensive than that... even if you go with the Allards conversion with a helix plate and etc.. it comes up to near £500 fitted, but i suggest the Sachs Organic version as its a very OE feel to the clutch not a paddle clutch feel at all... and thats nearer £700 just the the clutch, fitting and its near 1k work! so it can be expensive, but as i know myself and many other TDI owners that have remapped and clutched replaced... ITS GREAT FUN!!!

I did, and I also posted a solution to it (appropriate mapping).
Anyway, this post was asking what people would do and in which order. Everybody has so far replied to that stating what they would do and in which order... if you don't like the answer, it doesn't mean it's wrong. I'm aware of the technicalities surrounding remapping a TDi but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be the first thing I'd do if I were a TDi owner.
There have been plenty of TDi owners who have been Revo'd who have great things to say about it on an otherwise standard car, so I'm sure it's not quite as night and day, clear cut as you make out. If it were, Revo wouldn't sell many remaps or would have a lot of refunds to deal with!

Well...mine dropped like 35mm.
Side by side with Slick's motor, although mine looks lowered, his is ever lower by a good inch and he has 19" badboys on his! So I'd say 35-45mm.
Just a bit worried about sitting the front bumper on kerbs etc!
I've seen Rudd say that he grounds his less even though its lower but I still worry haha.
Where abouts in Essex are you Jon? Might have to come have a look at your Leon sometime if you dont mind?

but just to say on my lc the issue with lowering wasnt speed bumps or ramps.
it was the zorst knocking against the rear cross member. cant get past that issue so im never going to get to the point of scraping the front bumper.
that said perhaps your zorsts dont expand as much as mine does?
