Looking for a bit of advice on how to spend some hard won cash on my R...

She's an '04, 225, does 25-30K a year though, so dont want to kill her already not brilliant fuel consumption!!

Just been told by the garage that a new rear shocker is needed, so would a completely new set be any use?

Apart from that I have no ideas.... HELP! :D

Cheers peeps

depends, what do you use your car for, do you want to sacrifice a bit of comfort for handlng?
mods are specific to you and what you want from your car, its not really somethin anyone can recommend.

How much money do you have?

If you can afford it, instead of replacing the one shock, replace the lot with a set of Koni FSD shocks with Eibach springs. Better handling, better ride comfort and better looks all in one move :)

What else you can modify depends on your budget ;)

I had a rear shock go which subsequently made the rear tyre look like this, I got excessive virbation sometimes and a droning noise with it too.

Therefore as well as the cost of the shock I needed a pair of rear tyres

So I decided to upgrade my suspension to some of these

as per this thread....
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=91243

If I was doing it all again;-
Koni FSD Shocks all round
Eibach springs to lower it 20mm or so (You'll still be able to go over speed bumps OK and drive 25k+ miles per year at this level....I did)
Try AwesomeGti for prices (see sponsors section)

If you have the budget the best Modifications you can do (Value for money);-
Anti-Roll Bars
Dog Bone Engine Mount
Short Shifter for the gear box
Suspension
