Booked my first service today at Arnold Clark Linwood, £135 + VAT with a 10% discount because I bought the car from them. Still a lot of money for the trainee to do an oil change and a stamp on the book but at least less than the £180 I was expecting.

Thanx Unitzero

Now mine has vw audi stamps in it it might be MORE appealing to joe bloggs?

In answer to krustee's question, I asked them and they are just local i'm afraid.

I would recommend them to any one in the Nuneaton/Cov area who doesn't want to pay SEAT prices. All work was done in a few hours and i got a Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI as a courtesy car, makes me want a Derv more now as the MPG never went below 38.

I wonder if JustVWAudi would like to start a franchise in the North...... would make a bomb up here.

Dear Ibiza friend, thru my experience in Seat and Vw if your car is over 1year old take it to and independent garage that specialize in VAG Group cars. Why I say this? Because in a new car some problems they will be known in the first 3-6 months.

Thomas

Called around today for a quote for a first year service on my 1.4 sport. Got quoted £215 at the garage i baught it. I was shocked, thought it would be bout £100. Found another Seat dealer thats guna do it for £150, Quite a difference. Still too much for what they do on a first service, could do it myself but i want the stamp. :censored:

booked mine in today for the 14th at the local Skoda.
£121.46inc vat and everything else.

i said any day after the 8th cause thats when the light is due to come on and cause i should have no problems getting the time off work after the 8th.
then she said if i want a car to use i would have to wait till the 14th.

still good service though, some places are saying 3-4 weeks wait

all done yesterday
charged me 1.96+ vat for screen wash even though i made sure it was filled up the night before.

also 38quid to strip and clean the rear brakes all so they were able to adjust the handbrake

when washing today iv noticed they have damaged the front drivers side alloy on the edge.
called down a few hours ago and they dont see how they have done it because there was no need to remove the front wheels on a 1st service but recon they have 6 spy cameras around the workshop and outside so they are going to check them.

said he will ring me, probley thursday when they have checked the cameras. said it seemed stupid to repair that one and leave the other small one on the wheel so he said if it was there fault then he will pay half and i pay half.

its not deep its just a light scuff.

anyone know how much they are likely to charge?

the paint has also rippled litely on the rear centre caps where they have put something through they little hole to get them off
and even then i dont know how they have got them off because the amp and sub in the boot havent moved for them to be able to lift the carpet up to get to the locking nut end. or will they have ones that fit in there tool box?
