as far as i remeber spoke to someone with a corvette and he says no noticable diff in performance, price is bout 2000 quid plus vat, but you can get a grant from government to subsidise it, googles your best bet for info!
same mpg but you get it for half the price!

doing 13000 miles per year you will save bout 800 quid! not too bad!

I was under the impression that you couldn't LPG a car that has a turbo?!?

At least thats what I was told when I was investigating the same thing for my T5-R ovloV

Now you tell me  . Seriously though LPG is just a fuel same as petrol so you can convert any engine if you want to. Just do some homework and make sure whoever fits the system is insurance approved fitter and that the system fitted is insurance approved as your insurance company is likely to ask for proof of both. Conversion will cost about £2000ish as stated so you will need to be doing some miles to make the conversion pay but on a good note your insurance will not go up by doing the conversion as it isn`t a power mod and is environmentally friendly.

In Holland there's a guy who runs on LPI with a 20VT, with JD chip, TIP+ Blue flame exhaust:

On LPI

On gasoline

it has a dip with LPI, but can be fixed, but cost's a whole lot more, and if you really want to go fast , you can put it on normal fuel.

I.m thinkin of changing over also, because i'm changin jobs and about to run 20.000 miles a year, with my 20vt, then its cheaper to run on LPI

Vauxhall have been offering dual-fuel cars as an option for some time now.

I've known people who have done this on other cars, but not the Leon. All times it's been done I've heard the same comments... that power and performance are not affected.

*** wondering!
if you get lpg done! do you need extra sensors that needs to tap into the ecu?
how they make it compatible of making it switch from petrol to gas, will the ecu notice the different and respond in different way!

Cheers YIN and D20vt, how come YIN managed to find that? i went into search, typed in LPG checked both threads and posts and after 2 pages nothing! whats that all about?

Any way back on subject, so lack of power then? OH! not good
do you live in england D20vt?? is LPG the same as LPI?

Big lad = from other thread
"The only good point is that they have welded a thread onto the exhaust downpipe so that they could fot another lambda sensor, so they will be romoving the sensor and putting a bolt into it to plug it, so i can fit an EGT sensor and gauge easily myself now "

Looks like a yeah!

dunno how ecu responds thoe?

so cupra jay 4 then, well thats good cause that makes it easier and cheaper to fit

I'm from Holland, and here we have many 18-20VT's on LPI

Vialle LPi:

100% engine capacities the Vialle LPi autogassysteem are unique, because it works on the basis of liquid fuel injection. Autogas comes in in liquid form and under very high pressure in the gastank of the car.
Most of the systems the liquid gas is evaporated, before it is injected in the engine. At Vialle LPi this does not happen. Thanks to a pump, which has been placed in the gastank, the gas is injected in liquid form in the engine. This has a cooling functioning on the engine, as result of which the engine is charged less heavily. Still it is more important that with this system the engine performance and strength of the car remain preserved entirely. Space-saving tank solution much-heard complaint concerning driving on autogas is the large cylindrical tank which confiscates a large part of trunk space. Modern tank solutions are however placed on the spot of the sparewheel or under the car. Because of this the luggage space is not charged or hardly. ring tank on the spot of the sparewheel the ring tank becomes at present most applied and gives a beautiful result. In many cases the floor of the luggage space something is raised to be able place an as big as possible tank.

Gross and net tank reserve autogastank are in several half-measures deliverable. In most of the cases by type of car as contents optimum as possible are chosen, varies of 47 litres ring tank up to 100 litres cylinder tank. This is gross the contents of the tank. If the temperature increases in the tank, autogas outfit. To give the space to the gas to expand & to shrink without the risk of the securityproblems, is only possible to fill a gastank to 80% of maximum . At the Vialle LPi system a pump has been placed inject the fuel liquid. This goes for a small part at the cost of the contents of the tank, which can become as a result between the 70-80% full.
Drive with Vialle LPi
Drive with gasFX works exactly the same such as drive on petrol or diesel. After starting the car, you drive some time even ordinary on petrol. After a couple hundred meters the car switches over automatically on gas. Here you notice nothing . On the display of the autogassysteem, which has been assembled on your dashboard, however after the start you see a candle blinking. If this stops blinking you're driving on autogas
