Hello again :)

I had ordered a pipercross for my Ibiza Cupra but after reading through posts in the forum i have decided to cancel it and go GREEN :). Mainly due to the maf being dodgy with oil based filters from what i can see from the posts. Is this correct or am i just being fussy???

Also forge dv on the way too. Whats the average lifespan on Bosch dv's.

Cheers in advance :)

i have a pipercross filter on mine mate....it came without the oil pre-aplied so i didnt aply it and its been fine....i think its rite to say the maf is pretty sensitive so its best not to use the oil.

It's the vibrations that also kill the map, so make sure it's secure, really tight!

maf failures from oil based filters are the result of the filters being over oiled by the people that buy them IMO.
I run a K&n filter which is supposed to kill maf's but after 7,000 miles mine is still perfect.

plenty of people using standard airbox and standard airfilter still have maf problems.
