as i have just read in another thread that there is a 4wd version of the leon has anyone tried to convert theres if so how hard is it
if not may have an idea
The Leon 4 was available in Europe. The same floorpan and the Golf 4 motion etc.
As for costs to convert, IIRC HPA do the conversion for thier high powered engines, we worked it out a while back. Your looking at about 8 weeks for the required panel work and a cost of $16000 to do it.
The rear of the car is different, where do you thing the rear differential would go, you have a spare wheel there. The four motion floorpan is different from the rear doors backwards. Also different fuel tank, gearbox and then you would have to get the prop, rear axle, diff, haldex unit etc etc
zboyd paid a stack to convert his cupra to the cupra 4 bumpers, then SEAT brought it out as standard on the 03 cupra.but his was imperial blue ,which they dropped from the cupra range,so was still a one off.
