Booked a test drive-advice needed for sale

Got a test drive booked on saturday at David Cook, chadderton to test a beezer FR, can't wait! They've only got a diseasel in though, but I want the petrol, and hopefully I'll be putting my deposit down on the day-my
poogot 206 which they're gonna have to take with the alloys and gt bumper against their will!

Anyone think it'd be a good idea to book another drive at a rival SEAT dealer, so i've got a bargaining point?
Also, any ideas of how to get the price down, because I got rolled for the 206 for full price and rip off APR

Try looking online, you can save alot of money!
And you can still play each company off of each other for your business. If you feel loyal to your dealer you can use your online quote to get his price down.

hey mate i got my 56 ibiza fr petrol from arnold clark glasgow for 10,000 and they shipped it down to me for 200 (coventry) just an idea for you as its loads cheaper even if you add the extras give em a call and ull have ur barganing point (think thed take part ex as well)

Also, other than interior styling which you can see without driving the car, the diesel will drive completly different to the petrol, so I'd personally test drive the ENGINE you want. Saying that, once you drove the diesel, you might like it

i would test drive the petrol fr and tdi fr. I cant go back to petrol turbo's drink to much. Plus the tdi will hold its value better. (just more annoying rattles with the tdi)

the fr is a turbo petrol same engine as the cupra the diesel is a great drive and is quite nippy for a tdi, i was suprised! but you cant beat the 1.8 20vt! its all about your needs and how deep your pocket is too!

By far the easiest way to get money off is to simply take in a copy of What Car? (or similar mag) and show them the target price.

but most petrol drivers would say the petrol is better to drive and is quite a bit quicker standard!

Eats a lot of fuel but always gets a smile on my face! (and on the dude who owns my local shell garage)

4k into ownership and im averaging 34mpg (but i drive like a **** so........)

I want the 1.8t for the extra performance, I don't do many miles. Work and girlfriendage are close by, so 5 miles a day and it's a toy at weekend

Also, my dad's mate just got a new leon FR 2.0 TFSI, which I'm badgering him to get revo'd, so I gotta compete, I've had a drive in it, and even with 18's (option that was already on the car??) it feels grippy and rapid.

lastly (sorry) I've been looking through the spec list and as far as I can see, the only really useful thing about lux pack is the leccy folding mirrors, so i might drop that in favour of the xenon's which i really want.

Yeah the 18's are optional - look great but make the car way too crashy IMO

yeah man new 56 plate bought in december dunno found it on the internet arnold clark glasgow called em up they wanted 10,400 for it as they only had metalic silver in stock. well i told em at realy dont like silver so they gave me the metallic paint (in silver) for free to sweeten the deal. I kindo like silver now but god do i wish it was platinum.

Oh i did have to pay 200 shipping on a trailer behind a mitsubishi warrior to get it to coventry.

just my contribution, i wouldnt touch Arnold Clark with a 40 foot bardge pole, made that mistake once already...good at selling you the car but awful if you have any trouble with it!!! I eventually got it sorted due to some pretty handy contacts (service manager got demoted soon after)

My mate had shocking service also from Arnold Clark (Toyota) and she only got it sorted out when she happened to mention she was Sir Arnolds daughter (theres that contact i was on about)!

Andy, not too bothered where I get it from if the price is right, as the servicing and stuff will be going to David Cook in Chadderton. But I wouldnt trust it's nuts (and bolts) in arnie clarks hands, but won't say no if they are knocking a couple of grand off

Having said that, would rather DC got my loot

I've been quoted £90 inc vat for my first service at Hobins...find that good value...may purchase my own oil tho to see if they can do it cheaper...fancy come of that Magnetec
