Been to TSL Motorsport in Nottingham today and got a 5 hour free revo trial done to my LCR and WOW!! on the way home its fantastic got to get it done for real!! the thing absolutly flys!! the chaps said with the trial its pushing out 267 Bhp but if i had it custom mapped with the bits i got (cold air induction & s/s exhaust) running on V-Power IT would push it up to 272 Bhp & 290 lb/ft tourqe!!
But he did say that my coil packs and plugs are on the way out so priority is to sort them out!!

But id recommend going to TSL the guys there are spot on!!

Just wondered where they plucked the 272bhp figure from. But it's clear now that you have said that... they plucked it from the sky, cloud 9 in particular :)

If they can pluck and make it stick, I'll be there in a shot :D

I didn't mean to sound rude when I posted that above... but without a rolling road test and time for the ECU to adapt to the new settings, don't put too much faith in that figure. Plus, every car varies, a lot! :)

Don't worry about power figures, concentrate more on the way it drives and the way the power is delivered :)

Very true with Rob stated.

You will find that you can have 300bhp but if you wheel spin uncontrollably, power curve is poor, transmission losses are high, it won’t count for anything.

How did he tell that your coil packs were on there way out? Mine just go at random so I'd like to be able to predict a failure if it is possible.

I'm not entirely sure what TSL have said here that's considered to be untrue?

Anyone care to be more specific

i was just told that there is a slight mis-fire which is not helping so my coil packs and plugs must be on there way!!

the guys at TSL seemed honest enough for me so we'll just have to see??

It might be worth you buying a spare coil pack, just in case. As they are bound to go sooner or later and it's handy to be able to whip the faulty one out ASAP and get yourself back up and running. Just be aware that quite often when one goes, the others soon follow.

I also had a five hour trial from TSL, whilst they seemed like nice guys and the car drove well after but I didn't think they displayed a lot of knowledge about the revo products and VAG cars. They certainly know their stuff when a Subaru owner came in for advice though. Just thought it might be worth mentioning that they also told me I had a misfire and that i should get my coils replaced:think: may be that it is coincidence but I have never felt a misfire and it seems a little bit suspicious. Any one else dealt with TSL?

I,m from notts never heard of them. Were are they ?

they are in a little village called Keyworth, just to the south of notts, past West Bridgford, head towards Loughborough then hang a Left. They seem to specialise in Subarus and EVOs, Like I said, really nice people but they couldn't answer any of my questions which didn't give me confidence.
