Can anyone tell me if a new bottom ball joint comes supplied with a bracket and 3 bolts?

Reason for asking is that I've removed my suspension arms to get them rebushed (powerflex). I decide it was easiest to undo the 3 bolts on each arm that hold the balljoint, leaving the joint still attached to the hub assembly.

One of the captive 'nuts' (not nuts really as they are round) on one of the brackets broke loose and I had to cut the bloody thing off.

These are the lock plates that the balljoint bolts to. From the fact I had to search round several VAG dealers and drove to the Lookers VW in northallerton for the only two, I don't think it's common practice to change them when a balljoint is changed. (It should be IMO)
