Signature problem

When I try to edit my signature, it tells me it is too long and I can only have four lines?

Even if I save what I have typed already (i.e. no changes) it says the same. All I want to do is add a couple of words to it

Is there a fix for this?

Cheers :)

I think the fix is to have one line fewer - it counts the __________________ as a line I think

Cheers m0rk. Does the four lines it refers to mean four lines as displayed on the forum... or four lines as displayed in the signature text box in the user CP?

That's the annoying thing... my sig itself it quite simple, with just text formatting and no links or anything. All I want is:

Code:
[CENTER][B]Ovni Yellow LCR 210:[/B]
[i]Fabia rear wiper - Black sunglasses holder - Honda aerial - Small front plate - Forge 007P - Forge TIP - Green panel filter - HID 6000k - Becker Mexico Pro - Parrot 3200LS Colour - SC.net sticker.... More to come? Probably.......[/I][/CENTER]

Which of course doesn't display as one long line, it goes onto the next line at the end of the page area. Technically I have only hit return once. Odd.

I've just been playing again, and I can get everything I want in, but I can't hit return at all. If I just type it all, as it is now, it's fine. But if I hit return after the first bold bit, it doesn't work.

Any ideas? Can it be made to work or should I just give up?

Thank you m0rk, thank you very much :)

Was it something I can avoid in the future? Or just one of those gremlins?

he said ominously :D

(The new rules only cut in when you go to change your signature - so you're always caught by a rule change that was made ages ago)

That's what happened here. I haven't changed my sig in ages, as I've not changed any mods in ages, so it's only today when I wanted to add something that it was a problem.

I'll think about a different sig, but in the mean time, thanks for sorting this out :)
