Looks like 7000rpm is the limiter at a guess..
These results are making me look more and more at getting the new Cupra next.. Just need to ind somewhere that's got a demo to drive.. As Lincoln are fecking useless..

Well I have given it some thought aswell but i think I will keep my car for another two years as I am quite happy with her.

It could be the limter but i remember ZBOYD stating it was happy to rev to 7000, here it dieing 2-300 rpm before.

They all tend to run out of steam, at the top. The sweet spot on most cars is a few hundred RPM before the limiter, which is why its a waste of time to rag the bollocks off a car. For example the Cupra R usually run out of steam around 5500rpm anyway.

But what i meant by happy to rev, is the new 16V engine loves to rev. Its much happier in the high band than the Leon R's 20VT engine is, which is much happier using its mid range grunt.

20VT's i have found tend to complain and get stroppy when they are up near the limiter, and the engine urges you to change gear, the Cupra engine I found I could leave in 3rd or 4th and be keeping it on the boil most of the time.

Looking at Eri's maps, the power is pratically flat at the top, which is what your after, and the torque only falls away gradually too. Its a very nice map, and im sure it goes well. ;)

Indeed it does. The car is amazing between 2500 and 6500 rpm with a boost around 4000 rpm.

I am unsure if it will be REVO or Custom Code, Just swaying towards REVO. Now got around 800 miles on the clock and the car is definately getting much better on the fuel economy and power!!!

I can imagine scotty in my engine bay trying to give me more! :D
