Ideas anyone?

Hey got my boot hooked up with some leds, but i didnt realise how f**kin bright they were. Now i dont know weither to rip them out and do sumthing different cause i think its too red. (its like a window in Amsterdam without the fine ladies!!)
I've 2 strips at the bottom of the boot, one below the parcel shelf to shine into the 6x9s and a strip in the bass box to light up the sub.
Woz thinking of stickin a blue strip in the bass box ionstead of the red one so it lights up purplish and contrast a bit with the red.

Any ideas anyone?

me personally i wouldnt have any neons way to max power imo!

keep it as is without the lights

I know wot ya mean. I personally think it looks sh*t too. But took me most the day yesterday wiring them up and hiding all the wires etc. Then it was just when it got dark i realised how bad it woz.

Woz thinkin of leaving the leds behind the sub in and the one hidin in the parcel shelf so only the sub and 6x9s light up and the rest of the boot will still be dark

oops! have to agree wouldn't of fitted any neons! changing the colour and brighness of my interior light was enough in that respect lol

If you want to stop it coming through you could put accoustic padding across the underside of the 6 by 9's, however this may affect the performance of them

Didnt mind the light shining through the transparent 6x9s. But dont have to worry anymore. They blew after 3 hours of being on!

why not stick something over them to filter them??

i personally think it would look sweet matched into the dashboard...

as for all these people going on about neons...W8 interior light?? only reason to fit it is to gain two little leds above your head!

Could you not fit a switch so u can just turn the neons on when you want to show the system off?

Yeah mate i've got it switched. Gonna get stuck into it again at the weekend and just keep the leds in the bass box to shine through the sub.
Woz think of gettin 'Seat' cut into the back board and lighting it up from behind.

Oh and red leds have been put in the footwell but I AINT NO CHAV!!!!

Back in my 'boyracer' days, I used to have neons in my sub enclosures and behind my front grill in my Corsa. I can remember the bloody sub box ones blowing all the time cos I was piggybacking the power from the amp,lol.

Ignore what everyone says about the chav stuff. Each to their own. It would be a boring old world if we were all the same

ssssshhhh, I'm piggybackin the amp at the mo. lol But its just until my fancy switches get hooked up hidin in the ashtray.
I'm past my boyracin days too but still like a bit of red light to go with the dash. I've calmed down a bit from puttin 12 neons in my old saxo. lol

Makes me laugh when I see older people (im talking in their 30's) who have their mondeos and neon'd up.
At least I was only 18 (young and daft,lol)
