You got full BF system on that Ben? Seems way off the 270bhp that martin has with exact same spec.

Are you revo stage 2 mapped?

Dyno lottery mate. Just because you have the same modifications as someone else, It doesn't mean there running the exact same power  . That's obvious!
As already mentioned, it was 260+ rather than the 270, not that it makes a huge difference.

I have just checked the website snoopie and his graph:)

Yes on that occasion 262bhp was showing, although that doesn't mean 262bhp is his highest run, only showing he recorded 262 on that day. He does say his usual 267 and quotes 270bhp so he must have got these figures from somewhere;)

Notice JKM use 4th gear runs?

I ran 262HP at JKM, 264HP at Power Engineering (same settings), and 269.8HP at Power Engineering with more Timing and 100 octane fuel, so yes I have added .2 HP to my signature to round it up to 270HP, now I have my boost problem it is down to 240 somethink

does the Leon have the N249 valve?

is there anyone who has bypassed this? I done this on my Ibiza Cupra and it made a great difference, I may hunt the instructions out and try this on the S3 ( same engine as the Leon )

Yes the Leon CR has a N249 as well, I tried bypassing this and also bypassed the N75 with a manual boost controller and still had the boost surge at low rpm at full load.

I bypassed the n249 as well, but unfortunately the results on my car were crap - so i reversed it straight back again.

It was easy enough to do - just required a couple of lengths of vacuum hose and some tie-wraps.

Here is a picture (and therefore instructions) on what to do - please note - FULL CREDIT and THANKS go to m0rk for this - he was the provider of the image and instructions to me :)

Basically - remove the vac hose from the top of the DV - and block it (I put a screw in the end of the hose, and then tie-wrapped it tightly.
Then, route the hoses as per the images - you'll need an additional T-piece (or 2 if you don't have a boost gauge plumbed in)

a link to detailed instructions too!

even though above is just as good.
Its simple as fudge to do, ive done it, gave my dump valve a different sound (if that makes any sense) as it definately seemed to!

I used a large bolt to block the original hose for the DV, it aint comin out as it was difficult enough to get in!

thats what mine looks like, a bit untidy lol

I had masses of grief with this surging problem, just search for surging in my posts!

Made it alot better swapping the N75F for a C off my old Ibiza (can't buy them anymore)

I just think the N75 struggles with alot of boost. Every N75 is different aswell!!

i changed my setup to the above picture (my last post) and found the boost gauge wasnt reading correctly. Only reading a + from 0psi up wards not a - inhg.
So i changed the T piece round so to those tryin to do the bypass check your boost guage.
mine is still a bit skatty (really really sensitive, bit hesitant at times) at the moment so i might change the T-piece round again

So word of warning thats all

So far, no problems tho with the dodgy boost issue

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to my car now, everything has been tried. The boost is better than it was, i find if i drive with my foot to the floor pretty much all the time the car will boost how it should. It's probably 'cause of the self learning ECU, if you sit in traffic for 2 mins it makes your car run like $hit.

Im kind of glad the ECU swap didnt work in away as that would be veeeery expensive!

A fair few people have tried new N75 but has anyone used someones who hasnt got this issue? As the more i speak to VAG specalists they say say theve been through the same issue and it was a case of doing about 5 N75's before they found a good one.

I have tried two other N75's now, one from a standard TT and a new one from the dealer, ALSO IF I TAKE THE N75 OUT AND PUT IN A MANUAL BOOST CONTROL VALVE I GET THE SAME BOOST PROBLEM, so in my opinion the fault is somthing else on my car

Do you run a forge valve, and if so, yellow spring? You tried a standard screened MAF instead of de-screened MAF?

I take it you've logged act vs req and found no leaks.

It obviously isn't N75, at least you can rule that out 100%:)

Still under performing? Have you had it back at JKM yet?
