Cruise control

Just tried a search on how to fit cruz control to a Leon tdi 150 fr and nothing comes up. Anyone got a link or can explain if cruz control can be fitted to this car. Many thanks

Pritty much yes. I was just browsing there. Not really into splicing wires etc

How much would to dealer take for doing the ecu part on vagcom?

The VAGcom bit of the Cruise control will probably cost you half hours labour MIN' thats if you could convince them to do it. I've asked my local dealer twice for a quote to fit cruise, and each time the haven't got back to me. Going to take mine to JBS oce i have the money together. If you know someone who has vagcom it can be done in 5 mins (i turned my own on easily following a guide).

Have a look in the sponsors area and see who is offering it. I'm sure you could find some for yourself if you have a search around?

I believe its around £175, and you need a certain type of brake pedal. I've seen this on a thread before, so just search.

Thanks guys. I've never own a car without cruise so I wait till I can see if I can live without it yet. So many people pulling out in front of you anyway on the motorways that sometimes it no good anyway.

Star performance offer it in Scotland mate, IIRC it's around £200 + vat.

Its fantastic, you just have to be more aware of your surroundings and pre empt everything. I find I actually concentrate more on cruise

As mentioned above we can carry out the retro fit cruise control with standard look and full operation!

This comes to £220 all in for the leon and £280 all in for the Ibiza

Can you buy the parts only as a kit form? I'm not bothered about fitting as i can do that, just wanting to know that i have everything to do it bar the VAG-COM part!

From working @ a Seat dealership there was a retro cruise control system available for the Leon but they only listed the kit for a few engine types!

Whats next on the mod list then clivey?
