Hi Peeps,

Got a RAM AIR induction kit (second hand) to fit but dont have any instructions? Looks fairly simple. Anyone have any instuctions they could forward me? Also do i need to prepare it in anyway like coat the filter with anything or will it need replacing?

And just one more question.... will it affect the MAF, cause the Engine Management Light to come on??/

Not too knowledgeable on this stuff but really want to get it on the car.

Any advice appreciated.

it is fairly easy to assemble, I sprayed my cone heatshiled red and whacked one of my forge motorsports stickers, brightened up the engine bay too.
Dont put any more oil onto the filter itself, its got enough on it as it is.

Thanks for the link. Nice look with the Forge sticker. Good idea.

Hopefully will be fitting in next few days. So I take it this will have no affect on any of the sensors then ie MAF???

Its luck of the draw fella, you will probably need to secure it with an additional bracket mount and maybe some padding to absorb the knocks,

Some people have had no MAFS go, Ive had 3, and DAVE (DPJ) has lost count, so luck of the draw fella, FYI Ive taken mine off !

And you had the blingest-shiniest RamAir housing of them all, Phil. Did you get that bracket I made chromed too? :funk:

No just gave it a quick polish ! It looks pretty ordinary now the standard smoothed air box is now back in situ.

So what should I do then? How should I mount/secure it?

I'll describe how mine is mounted.

I have a Forge TIP which holds the MAF well and has only a little flex. The intake end of the RamAir is into a corrugated aluminium 4" feed. I have a flexible bracket securing the intake end of the RamAir to the suspension turret. I have a bubblewrap cushion firmly stuffed underneath the MAF.

Hey DPJ...

Got any pics of how yours is mounted. I know it's shocking but still have not had time to fit it yet. Just started new business and everything so have had no spare time. I am hoping to get it done this weekend so some any extra advice would be greatly appreciated as I have next to nothing about engines.

Thanks in advance..
